- Read the mini book together.
- Discuss how differences are good! Kids can imagine that each of them is a puzzle piece. Each piece is different and beautiful on its own. And when the pieces are put together, they make a big, beautiful picture!
- Then do the Demuestra lo que sabes skill sheet.
- With our Diseña un cartel game, kids can make their own poster in honor of Dr. King and print it out!
- Our Rompecabeza de Dr. King skill sheet gives kids practice with numbers and fi ne-motor skills. When it’s complete, kids get a portrait of Dr. King.

Materials: Lo que me hace especial skill sheets, pencils, crayons
- As kids read in the mini book, they are all different. And that means each one of them is special—one of a kind!
- Give each child a copy of the skill sheet along with crayons and a pencil. Let them complete it by drawing, writing, or a combination of both.
- When children are finished, you can post their work on a bulletin board titled “¡Todos somos diferentes!” Let children explore each other’s sheets and celebrate their diversity!
