- Take advantage of the bat theme to explore words with accent marks! Cut out the bats on the skill sheets. Then draw a large cave shape and mount it on a bulletin board.
- Place the bats in a paper bag and tell children that only bats with words with accent marks, tildes, are allowed in the bat cave!
- Let children take turns picking a bat from the bag and attaching it inside or outside the cave according to whether they have an accent mark.
